Die Soulnote E-1 ist eine herausragende Phono-Vorstufe, die das analoge Hörerlebnis auf ein neues Niveau hebt. Als 10-Jahre-Jubiläumsmodell basiert sie auf dem Schaltungsdesign des legendären ph1.0 Phono Equalizers und wurde mit fortschrittlicher Technologie und verbesserten Eigenschaften ausgestattet. Der E-1 verwendet einen diskreten Non-NFB-Phono-Equalizer, der durch seine einzigartige Technologie das volle Potenzial analoger Schallplattenaufnahmen ausschöpft. Der Vorteil dieses Non-NFB-Designs liegt in seiner außergewöhnlichen Hochtonwiedergabe und dem schnellen Einschwingverhalten, das eine bemerkenswerte Klarheit und Detailtreue in der Musikwiedergabe ermöglicht. Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Geräten, die mit negativen Rückkopplungsschaltungen arbeiten, erlaubt der E-1 durch die Vermeidung dieser Rückkopplung ein ungehindertes und sehr natürliches Klangbild.

Der E-1 bietet eine noch präzisere RIAA-Korrektur und eine gleichmäßige Klangwiedergabe über den gesamten Frequenzbereich bis zu 100 kHz. Durch den Einsatz von RIAA-Elementen in Spannungsverstärkungsschaltungen wird eine konstante Verstärkung und perfekte Kurvencharakteristik erreicht. Die Verwendung von MELF-Komponenten (mit einer Genauigkeit von 1%) und Polypropylen-Folienkondensatoren (mit einer Genauigkeit von 2%) sorgt für eine bemerkenswerte Klangtreue. Für den MC-Eingang unterstützt der E-1 symmetrische Eingänge über XLR-Anschlüsse, was zu einer extrem stabilen und detaillierten Klanglandschaft führt. Dabei ist es wichtig, symmetrische XLR-Kabel zu verwenden, um die bestmögliche Leistung zu erzielen.

Die Soulnote E-1 überzeugt auch durch ihre innovative, kontaktlose Verkabelung. Um die Signalqualität weiter zu optimieren, wurden alle Steckverbindungen im Signalsystem eliminiert, was eine kontaktlose Konstruktion ermöglicht. Diese spezielle Bauweise reduziert die Impedanz in den Stromversorgungsleitungen und sorgt für ein deutlich verbessertes Signal-Rausch-Verhältnis. Mit dem Lastimpedanz-Selektor können Anwender zwischen verschiedenen Lastwiderständen für MC-Tonabnehmer wählen und so den Klang perfekt an ihre Tonabnehmer anpassen. Der Subsonic-Filter minimiert tiefere Frequenzstörungen, die durch Plattenverwerfungen oder ähnliche Einflüsse entstehen können.

Im Bereich der Ausgangstechnologie setzt die E-1 auf einen symmetrischen Ausgang, der eine herausragende Signalqualität bietet. Mit einem leistungsstarken Non-NFB-Pufferverstärker wird auch bei höheren Ausgangspegeln eine ungestörte Klangwiedergabe ermöglicht. Der Ringkern-Netzteiltransformator mit einer Leistung von 260 VA sorgt für eine stabile Stromversorgung und trägt damit zu einem natürlichen und unverfälschten Klangbild bei. Vibrationen werden durch eine direkte mechanische Erdungskonstruktion abgeleitet, was sowohl den musikalischen Ausdruck als auch das Signal-Rausch-Verhältnis optimiert.
