Jede Diamant-Sicherung wird von HiFi-Tuning in Berlin einzeln produziert. Grundsätzlich sind alle herkömmlichen HiFi-Tuning Sicherungen auch in der Diamant-Ausführung erhältlich. Da sie erst nach Auftragseingang produziert werden, ist von verlängerten Lieferzeiten auszugehen.

In der HiFi-Branche wird seit vielen Jahren mit der Auswirkung von Kristallen auf stromdurchflossene Leiter experimentiert. Neben diversen Selbstbauprojekten, etwa mit Turmalin-Granulat, gibt es verschiedene Anbieter, die mit Quarzen befüllte Blindstecker für das Geräte-Tuning anbieten. Andere Menschen beschreiben seit der Frühzeit der High-Fidelity die klanglich wohltuende Wirkung von Bergkristall auf Röhrenverstärker. Es wird behauptet, dass sich die räumliche Nähe von Kristallen auf die Leitfähigkeit von Metallen auswirkt, ohne dass jedoch hierzu klare Dokumentationen zu finden wären.

Bernd Ahne von HiFi-Tuning gehört zu den Menschen, die Dinge gerne selbst ausprobieren. Er hat daher eine ganze Reihe von Halb-Edelsteinen und Edelsteinen im Mini-Format auf seinen Feinsicherungen angebracht. Dort befindet sich der Stein in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem klangrelevanten elektrischen Leiter, berührt diesen jedoch nicht, da er auf dem keramischen Mittelteil der Sicherung positioniert wird. Das Ergebnis: Seiner Erfahrung nach wirken sich tatsächlich fast alle Probanden in irgendeiner Weise auf die Wiedergabe aus. Am Ende war es jedoch ein kleiner Diamant, der Ahne überzeugte, weil er das Gefühl eines offeneren Klangraumes mit erweiterter Dynamik vermittelte, ohne unerwünschte Nebeneffekte in der Tonalität der Sicherung zu verursachen.

Die weitergehenden Experimente mit Kleinst-Diamanten zeigten dann, dass (leider) ein Edelstein mit hohem Reinheitsgrad besser wirkt als ein weniger reiner Stein, selbst wenn dieser größer ist. Außerdem stellte Ahne fest: Je weiter der Stein vom elektrischen Leiter entfernt ist, desto größer muss er sein, um seine Wirkung zu entfalten. Aus diesen Erkenntnissen entstanden die Supreme³ Diamant-Sicherungen. Dass diese nun mit Diamanten im Brilliant-Schliff versehen sind, hat rein pragmatische Gründe: Diese sind für die Schmuckindustrie in großen Mengen und nach Reinheit kategorisiert erhältlich.

Jede Diamant-Sicherung wird von HiFi-Tuning in Berlin einzeln modifiziert. Grundsätzlich sind alle Sicherungswerte auch in der Diamant-Ausführung erhältlich. Da sie erst nach Auftragseingang produziert werden, ist von verlängerten Lieferzeiten auszugehen.
