Neat Ultimatum XL10

Die Hochleistungslautsprecherserie ULTIMATUM wurde 1993 vom Gründer von Neat, Bob Surgeoner, konzipiert und mit der Einführung der Ultimatum MF9 im Jahr1999 in den Markt eingeführt.

Der XL10 ist das Ergebnis einer vollständigen Überarbeitung des MF9, die auf dessen beträchtlichen Stärken aufbaut und die Performance noch weiter optimiert.

Das Gehäuse besteht aus acht diskret aufgebauten Kammern von denen alle für ihren spezifischen Einsatzzweck optimiert wurden. Das Gehäuse-volumen der XL10 wurde für den Einsatz von nun vier Basschassis, zwei Mittel-Tieftönern und dem Hochtöner in einer D´Appolito Anordnung, vergrößert und angepasst. Die Hochtonkammer wurde erneut isoliert und resonanzoptimiert ausgelegt. Dies verhindert, dass Resonanzen der Mittel-Tieftöner über die Kammerwände das Hochtonchassis anregen können. Die beiden EMIT-Superhochtöner wurden ebenso resonanzoptimiert isoliert.

Die Hauptstruktur besteht aus gedämpftem 18-mm-Birkensperrholz, das aus langsam wachsenden Wäldern stammt. Dies ist ökologisch und gewährleistet ein besonders dichtes und beständiges Gehäusematerial. Die Abteile der Lautsprecherkammern sind aus einem 45 mm dicken „Sandwich“ aus Birkensperrholz, Polyethylen und MDF hergestellt. Dadurch entsteht eine starre, nicht schwingende Plattform, die es den Antriebseinheiten ermöglicht, frei von tonalen Verfärbungen zu arbeiten.

All diese Merkmale sind in der traditionellen Neat-Manier miteinander verwoben: Hunderte Stunden von aufwendigen Hörtests, empirischen Experimenten sowie jahrelange Erfahrung garantieren, dass das Endergebnis ein klassischer Lautsprecher mit Qualitäten ist, die nur wenige erreichen können.
