Das Farad L1 Split Cable ist ein DC-Kabel in Y-Ausführung, das die Gleichspannung eines Farad Super3 Linearnetzteils auf zwei Verbraucher gleichzeitig verteilt. Damit lassen sich beispielsweise ein Streamer und ein DAC, ein Netzwerk-Switch und ein Router oder zwei vergleichbare Kleinverbraucher aus einer einzigen hochwertigen Stromquelle versorgen – ohne für jede Komponente ein eigenes Netzteil anschaffen zu müssen.

Als erstes Upgrade-Kabel der Farad-Kabelfamilie ersetzt das L1 Split Cable das mitgelieferte Standardkabel und bildet den preislich attraktivsten Einstieg in klanglich optimierte Gleichspannungsverbindungen. Der Aufbau ist bewusst schlicht und konsequent auf saubere Signalübertragung ausgelegt.

Aufbau: verzinntes Kupfer in bewährter Litzenstruktur

Die Konstruktion basiert auf 2 x 4 Litzen 18 AWG verzinntem Kupferdraht. Die Verzinnung des Kupfers schützt die Leiteroberfläche dauerhaft vor Oxidation und sorgt so über Jahre hinweg für gleichbleibend niedrige Übergangswiderstände. Der großzügige Querschnitt hält den Spannungsabfall gering – ein entscheidender Faktor, wenn zwei Verbraucher parallel aus einem Netzteil gespeist werden.

Abgeschlossen wird das Kabel mit vergoldeten, karbongedämpften Barrel-Steckern (Hohlsteckern). Die Vergoldung gewährleistet einen korrosionsfreien, langzeitstabilen Kontakt, die Karbondämpfung reduziert mechanische Resonanzen im Steckerkörper. Eingangsseitig kommt der vierpolige GX16-4-Stecker zum Einsatz, der Standardanschluss der Farad Super3 Netzteile.

Farad beschreibt den Klangcharakter des Level 1 Kabels als offen, schnell und sauber. In der Praxis bedeutet das eine klare, unverfärbte Wiedergabe mit guter Impulstreue – ein hörbarer Fortschritt gegenüber den beiliegenden Standard-DC-Kabeln, die in vielen Systemen der eigentliche Flaschenhals sind.
