Der Rega Nd3 Moving Magnet (MM) Tonabnehmer

Der Nd3 ist der erste einer neuen Generation von MM-Tonabnehmern von Rega. Das Unternehmen präsentierte einen Prototyp des Nd7 als Spitzenmodell auf der letzten Hi-Fi-Messe in Bristol und in Zukunft wird es auch einen Nd5 geben. Im Gegensatz zur bisherigen Rega-MM-Reihe verwenden die Nd-Modelle Neodym-Magnete und behaupten, die ersten zu sein, die dies tun. Neodym, ein Seltene Erden Material, ist in zahlreichen Moving Coil (MC)-Tonabnehmern und einigen Hochtönern zu finden, da es deutlich stärker ist als eisenhaltige Magnete. Dadurch können die Magnete kleiner und leichter sein, was offensichtliche Vorteile für einen MM-Tonabnehmer hat.

Ein weiteres Unterscheidungsmerkmal der Nd-Tonabnehmer ist das neue Generatordesign, das eine präzisere Kanalsymmetrie ermöglicht als die bestehenden Elys 2 und Exact-Modelle. Dies wird durch längere und kleinere Spulen erreicht, die höhere Frequenzen liefern können. Die Anordnung der Polstücke um die vier Spulen ermöglicht dem Magneten am Ende des Nadelträgers mehr Bewegung, was zu geringerer Übersprechung und besserem Kanalgleichgewicht führt.

Das Nd3-Modell ersetzt das Elys 2 und hat einen Aluminium-Nadelträger mit elliptischer Spitze, wie bei diesem Modell. Das Gehäuse hat die gleiche Form und Material wie der Ania-MC-Tonabnehmer von Rega und verwendet die dreipunktige Befestigung, die eine festere Fixierung und automatische Ausrichtung in Rega-Tonarmen bietet. 

Ein weiterer Vorteil des Nd-Gehäuses ist, dass die Schrauben in das obere Gehäusegewinde schneiden, ohne kleine Muttern auf winzige Schrauben schrauben zu müssen. Obwohl das Gehäuse aus Kunststoff besteht, ist es robust genug, um das Anziehen mit dem Rega-Drehmomentschlüssel zu überstehen.

Der Nd3 bietet eine beeindruckende Detailtreue und einen ausgewogenen Klang, insbesondere im Hochtonbereich. Er ist in der Lage, die feinen Details von Gesangseffekten und eine gute Tiefenstaffelung wiederzugeben. Die Basswiedergabe ist ebenfalls exzellent, was zeigt, dass MM-Tonabnehmer nicht zwangsläufig in den Höhen abgeschnitten sind und viel Detail und ernsthaften Bass liefern können.

Der Nd3 bietet viel gut ausbalancierte Klangqualität für sein Geld und macht Musik sehr fesselnd. Er ist eine weichere, weniger präzise Version von Regas besten Tonabnehmern und stellt eine bemerkenswerte Leistung zu diesem Preis dar.
