Cardas Audio Clear Cygnus Interconnect Kabel

Das Cardas CLEAR Cygnus Interconnect tritt die Nachfolge des erfolgreichen CLEAR Light an und übernimmt viele seiner klanglichen Qualitäten. Trotz eines etwas weniger komplexen Aufbaus als das große CLEAR bietet es eine natürliche und angenehm detaillierte Wiedergabe, ohne hell zu wirken. Die räumliche Darstellung ist weiträumig, und die holographische Präsenz wurde gegenüber dem CLEAR Light noch gesteigert. Nach dem Transport benötigt das Kabel eine längere Einspielzeit: Anfangs kann der Klang noch undefiniert und unharmonisch wirken, dies verbessert sich jedoch deutlich mit zunehmender Betriebsdauer.

Konstruktiv basiert das CLEAR Cygnus auf einem quad-axialen Aufbau mit vier Innenleitern, die durch luftgefüllte PFA-Schläuche stabilisiert werden. Jeder Innenleiter besteht aus mehrlagig gegenläufig um einen Kevlarkern gewickelten, lackierten Einzellitzen. Die Litzen und ihre Isolatoren sind wie bei Cardas üblich im Goldenen Schnitt zueinander angeordnet. Trotz der doppelten Abschirmung bleibt das Kabel sehr flexibel.

Das Kabel ist symmetrisch mit NEUTRIK-XLR-Steckern oder unsymmetrisch mit Cardas-GRMO-RCA-Steckern erhältlich. Für die XLR-Version kann optional auf Cardas-CG-XLR-Stecker aufgerüstet werden. Kabel und RCA-Stecker stammen aus den USA und werden in Bandon (Oregon/USA) von Hand terminiert.
