Die Rega Planar 8 ist das Ergebnis einer sorgfältigen Ingenieursarbeit, die auf dem Spitzenmodell "Naiad" basiert. Statt den RP8 einfach zu verbessern, hat Rega sich dazu entschieden, die Schlüsselelemente des "Naiad" zu übernehmen und dabei einen Preis zu bieten, der für viele Musikliebhaber erschwinglich ist. Das Ziel war einfach: Hochwertigen Sound auf einem Niveau zu liefern, das zuvor in dieser Preisklasse nicht möglich war.

Die Konstruktion des Planar 8 ist darauf ausgerichtet, das Beste aus Schallplatten herauszuholen. Ein leichtes Chassis, fortschrittliche Materialien und High-End-Technologien sind die Grundlagen dieses Plattenspielers. Der mitgelieferte RB880 Tonarm und das Neo PSU MK2 Netzteil ermöglichen eine präzise elektronische Drehzahlumschaltung und fortschrittliche Anti-Vibrationskontrolle für einen herausragenden Gleichlauf durch straffe Motorregelung.
