Das Atlas Hyper Achromatic X RCA–BNC S/PDIF ist ein leistungsstarkes Digitalkabel, das speziell für die präzise Übertragung von S/PDIF-Signalen zwischen CD-Transport, Hi-Res-Streamer und DAC entwickelt wurde. Es richtet sich an anspruchsvolle Anwender, die bei digitalen Verbindungen höchste Signalqualität erwarten – insbesondere bei Geräten mit BNC-Anschluss.

Dank seiner echten 75-Ohm-Koaxialkonstruktion gewährleistet das Kabel eine exakte Impedanzanpassung. Diese ist entscheidend für eine fehlerfreie und jitterarme Datenübertragung, da Abweichungen häufig zu Signalreflexionen und Timing-Problemen führen.

Der Innenleiter aus versilbertem OFC-Kupfer sorgt für eine schnelle, stabile Signalübertragung. In Kombination mit dem PEF-Dielektrikum (geschäumtes Polyethylen) wird eine besonders verlustarme und breitbandige Signalführung erreicht.

Ein herausragendes Merkmal ist das integrierte Dual-Drain-System, das ursprünglich aus den Top-Serien von Atlas stammt. Zwei symmetrische Drain-Leiter verbinden die Abschirmung optimal mit dem Stecker, ohne diese mechanisch zu belasten. Das Ergebnis ist eine konstante Impedanz, eine vollständige 360°-Abschirmung und maximale Unterdrückung von RFI-Störungen.

Die Achromatic X Steckverbinder werden mittels lötfreier Kaltverschweißung gefertigt. Diese Technik verhindert Signalunterbrechungen sowie die Kompression der Abschirmung – zwei wesentliche Ursachen für Impedanzprobleme und erhöhten Jitter bei konventionellen Kabeln.

Durch die BNC-Verbindung wird eine besonders präzise Impedanzführung erreicht. In entsprechend ausgestatteten Systemen ermöglicht dies häufig eine hörbar bessere Performance als klassische RCA-Verbindungen.
