Der Unison Research Unico PRE ist der neue Top-Vorverstärker der Unico-Serie und markiert die offizielle Einführung der neuen Formensprache der Unico-Produktfamilie – gemeinsam mit dem Unico DM. Als vollsymmetrischer Hybrid-Vorverstärker vereint er Röhrentechnologie in Class A mit einer leistungsstarken Transistor-Ausgangsstufe (Solid State) und modernster Digitaltechnik auf höchstem audiophilem Niveau.

Bereits das Design unterstreicht den High-End-Anspruch: Die aus einem 15 mm starken Aluminiumblock gefräste Frontplatte steht für außergewöhnliche Stabilität und präzise Verarbeitung. Die 2 mm starke Aluminiumabdeckung umschließt das gesamte Gehäuse und sorgt für eine harmonische Linienführung sowie ein beeindruckendes Gefühl von Solidität. Edle Oberflächen in Gold Velvet und Midnight Black betonen jedes Detail, während integrierte Holzelemente das historische Unico Logo zitieren und das Erbe von Unison Research stilvoll hervorheben. Ein besonderes Detail im Inneren: Das Unison Research Logo selbst fungiert als Ein/Aus Schalter – eine elegante Verbindung von Funktion und Design.

Technisch setzt der Unico PRE auf eine vollsymmetrische Signalführung mit zwei ECC83 / 12AX7 Gold Lion Röhren in Class A. Diese sorgen für eine musikalische, harmonisch fein aufgelöste Klangcharakteristik mit exzellenter Räumlichkeit und natürlicher Stimmabbildung. Die Transistor-Ausgangsstufe garantiert gleichzeitig Kontrolle, Dynamik und Stabilität – auch bei komplexen Lasten und langen Kabelwegen.

Ein hochwertiges integriertes Bauteil mit Präzisionswiderständen übernimmt die Lautstärkeregelung. Diese Lösung gewährleistet perfekte Kanalgleichheit, exakte Pegelsteuerung und bewahrt die Integrität des Audiosignals unter allen Betriebsbedingungen. Mit einer Verstärkung von 20 dB (RCA) und 15 dB (XLR) sowie einer maximalen Ausgangsspannung von bis zu 16 V (XLR) bietet der Unico PRE großzügige Leistungsreserven für anspruchsvolle Endverstärker.

Auch digital ist der Vorverstärker auf dem neuesten Stand. Der integrierte Sabre ES9018K2M DAC ermöglicht hochauflösende Wiedergabe über USB-B (PCM bis 384 kHz, Native DSD bis 256 kHz, DoP bis 128 kHz), Toslink und S/PDIF jeweils bis 192 kHz. Analoge Quellen finden über 3 × Line RCA, 3 × Line XLR sowie einen Phono MM / MC Eingang optimale Anschlussmöglichkeiten. Ergänzt wird die Ausstattung durch 2 × RCA, 1 × XLR, Dual-Subwoofer-Ausgang, Line Out und 12 V Remote Power On.

Mit 0 dB Gegenkopplung, sorgfältig abgestimmter Schaltungstopologie und einer Leistungsaufnahme von 50 VA steht der Unison Research Unico PRE für kompromisslose Musikalität, Transparenz und Kontrolle. Mit seinen Abmessungen von 45 × 43 × 14 cm und einem Nettogewicht von 11 kg verkörpert er Substanz und technische Präzision gleichermaßen.
