Die LEBEN RS-28CX ist eine hochwertige Röhren-Vorstufe mit ausgelagertem Röhren-Netzteil, die die sprichwörtliche Musikalität aller LEBEN Komponenten in reinster Form verkörpert. Für dieses Konzept setzt Mr. Hyodo in der Linestufe auf 6CG7-Doppeltrioden – das klangliche Ergebnis präsentiert sich mit einer packenden, luftigen, farbenprächtigen und über alle Maßen erwachsenen Wiedergabe. Anspruchsvolle Musikliebhaber erhalten damit einen Röhren-Vorverstärker, der höchste klangliche Ansprüche mühelos erfüllt.

Im Mittelpunkt der Entwicklung stand der Wunsch nach einer möglichst perfekt integrierten Phonostufe. Um ein Höchstmaß an Lebendigkeit und Livehaftigkeit zu erreichen, entschied sich Mr. Hyodo bewusst gegen die Verwendung von Korrekturkreisen und ging stattdessen den direkten Weg der Phonoverstärkung. Dieser Ansatz verlangt eine kompromisslose Bauteileselektion, denn keinerlei Einstreuungen dürfen an das winzige Phonosignal gelangen. Aus diesem Grund war ein ausgelagertes Netzteil – trotz des vergleichsweise geringen Stromverbrauchs einer Vorstufe – zwingend erforderlich.

Aufgrund der verwendeten Schaltung reagiert die Phonostufe der RS-28CX sensibel auf die eingesetzte Röhrenqualität. LEBEN liefert die Vorstufe daher ausschließlich mit J.A.N.-Röhren (Joint-Army & Navy) aus. Sollten Sie die Röhren austauschen wollen, empfiehlt der Hersteller ausdrücklich die Verwendung von Röhren höchster Qualität, um das klangliche Niveau zu erhalten.

Die LEBEN RS-28CX verfügt über vier Line-Eingänge und einen MM-Phonoeingang mit gegenkopplungsfreier Verstärkung und exakter Angleichung an die RIAA-Entzerrungskurve (+/- 0,3 %). Für Tonbandgeräte steht ein Tape-Eingang mit Monitor-Möglichkeit zur Verfügung. Zwei Ausgänge – einer variabel, einer fixed – lassen sich wahlweise auch parallel nutzen, während ein Balance-Regler die präzise Anpassung des Stereo-Panoramas erlaubt.

Das bis ins Detail durchdachte Konzept der RS-28CX zeigt sich unter anderem in der relaisgesteuerten 30-sekündigen Aufwärmphase, einem hohen Geräuschspannungsabstand – auch im Phonobetrieb – sowie einer hohen Ausgangsspannung von bis zu 80 V, die selbst für Endstufen mit sehr geringer Eingangsempfindlichkeit absolut ausreichend ist. Die hochwertigste Bauteileselektion, die LED-Betriebsanzeige und die charakteristischen Holzseitenteile runden das Bild dieser erstklassigen Vorstufe ab und unterstreichen ihren wertigen Gesamteindruck.
