Statement-Verstärker von einem echten britischen Independent. In Rezensionen wird die 915R/995R Vor-/Endstufenkombination als die allerbeste ihrer Art bezeichnet.
Der 995R Mono-Endverstärker von Trilogy Audio Systems ist nach vier Jahren Forschung ein wahrhafter Monolith und architektonisch besonders ansprechend. Die maschinell bearbeiteten Rippen verfügen über besonders grosse Abstrahlflächen zur Wärmeabfuhr.

Wie viele Trilogy-Produkte, die sich die Stärken beider Welten zunutze machen, ist auch der 995R ein Hybridgerät. Diese Geräte können über eine diskrete Wahltaste zwischen drei Modi umgeschaltet werden: Klasse AB, A und Eco A. Der letzte Modus verhält sich wie Klasse A, während die Musik läuft, allerdings wird die Transistorvorspannung deutlich verringert,  wenn kein Signal anliegt - dies ist stabil und hat den Vorteil, dass nur ein Minimum an Leistung geopfert wird.

Das Gerät misst (B x T x H) 190 x 460 x 350 mm und wiegt 38 Kilogramm. Class AB liefert 200 W an 8 Ω, im Class-A-Modus werden 40 W (nutzbare 55 W) bei gleicher Last ausgegeben. Der Frequenzgang beträgt 5Hz - 100KHz (+/-0,5dB) und die Verstärkung an den SE- bzw. symmetrischen Eingängen beträgt 31 bzw. 25dB.

Der Trilogy 995R hat keine Gegenkopplung, ist voll symmetrisch und verfügt über eine gebrückte Ausgangsstufe. Seine Hybrid-Topologie umfasst zwei 6H6P-Röhren als Spannungsverstärker, während kleine lineare MOSFETs im Einsatz mit 12 japanischen Bipolaren die Push-Pull-Verbundstufe des Produkts bilden. Das Netzteil basiert auf einem großen, abgeschirmten Ringkerntransformator und kundenspezifischen Kappen und genießt eine volle Drossel-Eingangsversorgung. Das Trilogy-eigene TASlink-Netzwerk, das der Besitzer über RJ45-Buchsen nutzen kann, ermöglicht es  Trilogy-Produkten miteinander zuverbinden und die Funktionalität des Systems zu erweitern.
