Die WBT Polklemme ist ein Produkt, das höchste Ansprüche an Signalübertragung, Mechanik und Design erfüllt. Sie kombiniert hervorragende mechanische Eigenschaften mit einer massiven Bauweise, die für einen konstant hohen Kontaktdruck sorgt. Dies führt zu besonders geringen, gleichbleibenden Übergangswiderständen, was die Voraussetzung für eine unverfälschte und minimale Klangbeeinflussung ist. Das elegante Design wird durch die hochglanzvergoldete Oberfläche unterstützt, die nicht nur eine ansprechende Optik bietet, sondern auch jegliche Korrosion verhindert. Vor der Vergoldung wird die Polklemme poliert, was eine besonders strapazierfähige und abriebfeste Oberfläche schafft.

Für den Außenanschluss sind die Optionen für 4-mm-Bananenstecker, Kabelschuhe sowie gecrimpte Kabelenden (bis 16 mm²) vorgesehen. Der integrierte Spannzangenmechanismus (WBT-Patent) sichert den Bananenstecker durch das Festdrehen der vorderen Spannmutter, wodurch die Verbindung stabil bleibt und gleichzeitig ein hoher Kontaktdruck gewährleistet wird. Kabelschuhe und gecrimpte Kabelenden können dank des Feingewindes der zweiten Mutter ebenfalls mit hohem Druck verbunden werden. Zusätzlich sorgen Halterillen im Mutterboden und in der Andruckplatte für einen verbesserten Kontakt und eine höhere Zugfestigkeit der Verbindung.

Im Innenanschluss können Kabel mit einem maximalen Leiterquerschnitt von 10 mm² verwendet werden. WBT empfiehlt die Crimpanschlusstechnik für eine zuverlässige Verbindung. Mit den mitgelieferten Torxschrauben und dem Torx T.6 Schlüssel können gecrimpte Kabelenden sicher fixiert werden. Alternativ ist auch das Löten der Kabelanschlüsse möglich; dabei empfiehlt WBT das oberflächenschonende Silber-Lötzinn WBT-0800.

Für die Montage wird eine Vielzahl an Zubehör mitgeliefert, darunter Einbauisolierungen, die eine verdrehgesicherte Montage und die Polkennung gewährleisten. Ebenso sind Kontermuttern, Doppelstufenscheiben mit Nase und Puzzlescheiben enthalten, die für eine präzise Montage und genaue Klemmenabstände von 19 oder 30 mm sorgen. Das Puzzlescheibensystem sorgt zusätzlich für den Verdrehschutz. Bei Geräten, die starken Körperschall aufweisen, wie Lautsprecher, wird eine zusätzliche Mutternsicherung durch die Fächerscheibe WBT-9150 empfohlen.
