Die WBT Polklemme ist für höchste Ansprüche in den Bereichen Signalübertragung, Mechanik und Design entwickelt worden. Sie überzeugt durch ihre hervorragende mechanische Konstruktion, die massiven Bauteile und die zwei separaten Spannmuttern, die für einen besonders hohen Kontaktdruck sorgen. Dieser ermöglicht geringe, gleichbleibende Übergangswiderstände, was für eine minimale Klangbeeinflussung unerlässlich ist. Das elegante Design wird durch die nickelfreie Mehrschichtvergoldung unterstützt, die Korrosion verhindert und gleichzeitig eine lange Lebensdauer garantiert.

Der Außenanschluss der Polklemme ist für 4-mm-Bananenstecker ausgelegt. Der integrierte Spannzangenmechanismus (WBT-Patent) klemmt den Bananenstecker durch das Festdrehen der vorderen Spannmutter zuverlässig fest. Dies verhindert nicht nur ein ungewolltes Lösen der Verbindung, sondern sorgt auch für einen besonders hohen Kontaktdruck. Zusätzlich können Kabelschuhe und gecrimpte Kabelenden (bis 16 mm²) über die zweite Mutter und das Feingewinde mit hohem Kontaktdruck verbunden werden. Halterillen im Mutterboden und in der Andruckplatte des Klemmkörpers sorgen für eine verbesserte Kontaktfläche und erhöhen die Zugfestigkeit der Verbindung.

Für den Innenanschluss können Kabel mit einem maximalen Leiterquerschnitt von 10 mm² verwendet werden. WBT empfiehlt die Crimpanschlusstechnik, bei der gecrimpte Kabelenden mit den mitgelieferten Torxschrauben und dem Torx T.6 Schlüssel sicher fixiert werden. Alternativ können die Anschlüsse auch gelötet werden, wobei WBT das oberflächenschonende Silber-Lötzinn WBT-0800 empfiehlt.

Die Montage erfolgt mit Hilfe der mitgelieferten Einbauisolierungen, die eine verdrehsichere Montage und eine klare Polkennung gewährleisten. Kontermuttern, Doppelstufenscheiben mit Nase und Puzzlescheiben sorgen dafür, dass sich die Klemmenabstände exakt auf 19 oder 30 mm einstellen lassen und verhindern das Verdrehen. Besonders bei Geräten mit starkem Körperschall, wie zum Beispiel Lautsprechern, wird die zusätzliche Mutternsicherung durch die Fächerscheibe WBT-9150 empfohlen.
