Der T+A DAC 200 ist ein High-End-Digital-Analog-Wandler (DAC) mit galvanischer Trennung und der Fähigkeit, DSD 1024-Dateien wiederzugeben. Der DAC 200 ist darauf ausgelegt, eine Vielzahl digitaler Formate in naturgetreue Analogsignale umzuwandeln und über den eingebauten Kopfhörer- oder Analogausgang auszugeben. Er verfügt über die einzigartige T+A Path Separation Technologie, die für PCM- und DSD-Dateien eigene und speziell zugeschnittene Wandler nutzt, um negative Klangeinflüsse auszuschließen und das Potenzial jedes Formats optimal auszunutzen.

Der DAC 200 ist mit einer De-Jitter-Masterclock ausgestattet, die alle T+A DACs von Störsignalen, insbesondere solchen, die von Computern stammen, befreit. Die De-Jitter-Masterclock ist die konsequent audiophile Antwort auf Jitter, minimale Zeitversatze im Takt, die das Klangerlebnis negativ beeinflussen, es sei denn, sie werden vor der Wandlung in analoge Signale entfernt. Die Signale, die die Reinheitsanforderungen erfüllen, werden durch die Umschaltung auf die Masterclock vollständig vom Eingangsjitter entkoppelt und durch zwei genau justierte Quarzoszillatoren weiterverarbeitet.

Der T+A-True-1-Bit-Wandler ist absolut einzigartig, da er DSD-Dateien nativ ohne schädliche Konvertierungen verarbeitet und sie absolut unverfälscht im echten 1-Bit-Stream wiedergibt. Die PCM-Wandlung übernimmt der T+A Quadrupel-Wandler. Seine doppelt symmetrische Schaltung mit acht 32-Bit BurrBrown Wandlern kompensiert klangliche Nichtlinearitäten überdurchschnittlich stark und lässt das kaum vorhandene Rauschen um nochmals 6 dB absinken. Obwohl T+A an unverfälschte Musikwiedergabe glaubt, ermöglichen ihre hauseigenen Bezier-Filter im Quadrupelwandler die Anpassung der Klangcharakteristik an den individuellen Geschmack. Durch die Nutzung dieser Polynome entsteht ein perfektes Zeitbereichsverhalten für jedes der 6 verfügbaren Filter.
