Die Stroboskop-Scheibe STR-1 ist eine klassische Aluminium-Scheibe, die mit einem hochwertigen, kratzfesten Aufdruck versehen ist. Sie wurde speziell zur Messung der Geschwindigkeiten von 33, 45 und 78 U/min entwickelt. Für eine präzise Messung kann Licht mit 50 Hz, 60 Hz und 300 Hz verwendet werden. Dadurch ist die Scheibe weltweit mit der örtlichen Netzfrequenz kompatibel, bietet aber auch die Möglichkeit, eine 300 Hz Stroboskop-Lampe zu verwenden.
