Der Chord Company GroundARAY reduziert Hochfrequenzrauschen an ungenutzten Anschlüssen von HiFi- und AV-Geräten. Dieses Exemplar stammt aus einer Inzahlungnahme.

Aufbau und Funktion

Der GroundARAY bietet einen niederimpedanten Weg für Hochfrequenzrauschen und verbessert so den Rauschpegel des angeschlossenen „Gastgeräts“. Das zylindrische Gehäuse besteht aus präzise CNC-bearbeitetem Aluminium mit dicken Wänden, damit das Gerät selbst kein Rauschen erzeugt. Fünf separate Rauschreduktionssysteme arbeiten parallel in verschiedenen Frequenzbereichen und wandeln das HF-Rauschen in Wärme um. Jeder GroundARAY wird in der Chord Company-Fabrik in Wiltshire von Hand gebaut.

Einsatz

Die Geräte werden einfach in freie Buchsen gesteckt, einzeln oder in Gruppen, etwa an den linken und rechten Ausgängen. Bei DACs und Streamern eignen sie sich für ungenutzte digitale Eingänge; auch Projektoren und Bildschirme profitieren. Den GroundARAY gibt es in den Varianten USB A, RCA, DIN, XLR, BNC, RJ45 und HDMI. Am wirksamsten ist er laut Hersteller verteilt über mehrere Geräte der Anlage.
