Mit der Diamond 12i Serie setzt Wharfedale die Erfolgsgeschichte seiner vielfach ausgezeichneten Lautsprecher konsequent fort. Statt einer vollständigen Neuentwicklung konzentriert sich die neue Generation auf gezielte technische Verbesserungen, die Klangqualität, Dynamik und Wohnraumtauglichkeit weiter optimieren. Neue Klarity™-Treiber, eine überarbeitete Bassreflexabstimmung, eine präzise abgestimmte Linkwitz-Riley-Frequenzweiche sowie resonanzoptimierte Gehäuse sorgen für eine besonders natürliche, kraftvolle und detailreiche Wiedergabe.

Die Wharfedale Diamond 12.4i ist das größte und leistungsstärkste Modell der Diamond 12i Serie. Als ausgewachsener 2,5-Wege-Standlautsprecher wurde sie für anspruchsvolle Musikliebhaber und Heimkino-Enthusiasten entwickelt, die ein beeindruckendes Klangvolumen, tiefreichenden Bass und eine außergewöhnlich präzise Musikwiedergabe erwarten.

Für den Mittel- und Tieftonbereich kommen zwei 150-mm-Klarity™-Treiber mit fortschrittlicher Polypropylenmembran zum Einsatz. Die innovative Membrankonstruktion vereint hohe Steifigkeit mit kontrollierter Dämpfung und sorgt für kraftvolle, kontrollierte Bässe, natürliche Mitten sowie eine ausgezeichnete Dynamik. Die optimierte Bassreflexabstimmung und die verbesserte interne Dämpfung wurden speziell auf reale Wohnräume abgestimmt und gewährleisten eine präzise Tieftonwiedergabe ohne übermäßige Resonanzen.

Den Hochton übernimmt eine 25-mm-Textilkalotte mit spezieller Dämpfungsbeschichtung, die feinste Details offen, ausgewogen und langzeittauglich wiedergibt. Zusammen mit der hochwertigen Linkwitz-Riley-Frequenzweiche entsteht eine homogene Klangbühne mit exzellenter Räumlichkeit und präziser Ortbarkeit.

Auch das Gehäuse wurde umfassend weiterentwickelt. Unterschiedlich starke MDF-Wandsegmente sowie sorgfältig platzierte Innenverstrebungen reduzieren Eigenresonanzen wirkungsvoll und sorgen für ein neutrales, verfärbungsarmes Klangbild. Dadurch überzeugt die Diamond 12.4i selbst bei höheren Lautstärken mit beeindruckender Kontrolle, Stabilität und Musikalität.
