Der 2-Wege-Regallautsprecher ist perfekt für kleine bis mittelgroße Räume und für Stereo-Verstärker ab 40 Watt

Der exklusive Tweeter wurde in Norddeutschland entwickelt und wird lokal gebaut. Ein neu gestaltetes Folienlayout mit ungleich verteilten Massen und variierender Leiterbahndicke reduziert gezielt unerwünschte Resonanzen. Dies linearisiert den Frequenzgang bis weit über 20 kHz hinaus und senkt den Klirrfaktor spürbar.
Der Tiefmitteltonbereich wird von einem 150 mm großen AS-XR Konus abgedeckt. Charakteristisch, augenfällig und akustisch ideal: Die verbaute Kristall-Membran besitzt die perfekte Balance aus Steifheit und Dämpfung. Gemeinsam mit einem verbesserten Magnetantrieb sorgt dies für ein breites nutzbares Frequenzband und großzügige Dynamikreserven.

Mit einem Frequenzgang von 42 - 50.000 Hz deckt der BS 100 nicht nur ein weites Frequenzspektrum ab, sondern liefert auch ein beeindruckend erwachsenes Klangbild – von kontrollierten Basslinien bis hin zu kristallklaren Höhen. Die sorgfältig abgestimmte Frequenzweiche trennt die Signale dabei bei exakt 2.500 Hz.  
Mit einer Empfindlichkeit von 86 dB setzt der kompakte BS 100 Verstärkerleistung erfreulich effizient in Schalldruck um. Die Impedanz von 4 Ω (Minimum 3,4 Ω bei 280 Hz) fordert im Grundtonbereich zwar etwas Strom, lässt sich aber von jedem modernen HiFi-Verstärker mühelos antreiben. Das garantiert jederzeit ein souveränes, kontrolliertes und dynamisches Klangbild.

Die großzügig dimensionierten Schraubklemmen garantieren erstklassigen Kontakt und stabilen Halt, auch bei schweren Lautsprecherkabeln. Sie sind vielseitig einsetzbar und akzeptieren Lautsprecherkabel mit 4-mm-Bananensteckern, Kabelschuhen oder blanken Kabelenden in Single-Wiring, Bi-Wiring oder Bi-Amping.
Das markante Design sticht heraus und ist eine direkte Hommage an die Designsprache, die für zwei Jahrzehnte das Erscheinungsbild der ELAC Lautsprecher prägte. Der eckig eingefasste JET-Hochtöner über dem runden Tieftöner erinnert an wegweisende Modelle wie die Spirit of Music (1997) und die legendäre BS 403 (2012). Für das Jubiläumsmodell hat Chefentwickler Rolf Janke den Lautsprecher persönlich überarbeitet und entscheidend weiterentwickelt.
