Mit der Diamond 12i Serie entwickelt Wharfedale seine erfolgreiche Lautsprecherreihe konsequent weiter und setzt auf gezielte technische Verbesserungen anstelle einer vollständigen Neuentwicklung. Optimierte Treiber, eine weiterentwickelte Frequenzweiche sowie resonanzarme Gehäuse sorgen für eine noch präzisere, dynamischere und natürlichere Klangwiedergabe.

Der Wharfedale Diamond 12.Ci wurde speziell als Center-Lautsprecher für die Diamond 12i Serie entwickelt und bildet das Herzstück anspruchsvoller Heimkino-Systeme. Als zentrales Wiedergabeelement für Dialoge, Stimmen und Effekte sorgt er für eine außergewöhnlich klare Sprachverständlichkeit und eine nahtlose Klangbühne zwischen den Frontlautsprechern.

Für den Mittel- und Tieftonbereich kommen zwei 130-mm-Klarity™-Treiber mit fortschrittlicher Polypropylenmembran zum Einsatz. Die speziell entwickelte Membran kombiniert hohe Steifigkeit mit kontrollierter Dämpfung und liefert präzise Mitten, kontrollierte Bässe sowie eine ausgezeichnete Dynamik. Durch die symmetrische Anordnung der beiden Tief-/Mitteltöner entsteht eine gleichmäßige Schallverteilung und eine hervorragende Sprachwiedergabe.

Den Hochton übernimmt eine 25-mm-Textilkalotte mit spezieller Dämpfungsbeschichtung, die selbst feinste Details sauber und natürlich wiedergibt. Die hochwertige Linkwitz-Riley-Frequenzweiche gewährleistet einen harmonischen Übergang zwischen den Chassis und trägt zu einer präzisen räumlichen Darstellung sowie einer ausgewogenen Klangbalance bei.

Das geschlossene Gehäuse wurde gezielt für eine besonders präzise und verfärbungsfreie Wiedergabe entwickelt. Unterschiedlich starke MDF-Wandsegmente reduzieren Eigenresonanzen wirkungsvoll und sorgen für eine saubere Impulswiedergabe. Dadurch überzeugt der Diamond 12.Ci sowohl bei Filmton als auch bei Konzertaufnahmen und Mehrkanal-Musik mit einer natürlichen und authentischen Wiedergabe.
