Acoustic Energy AE1 40th Anniversary Edition

1987 revolutionierte der Acoustic Energy AE1 die Welt der Kompaktlautsprecher. Als außergewöhnlicher Monitor setzte er neue Maßstäbe in Dynamik, Präzision und Basswiedergabe – Eigenschaften, die bis dahin deutlich größeren Lautsprechern vorbehalten waren. Mit seiner kompromisslosen Studio-Performance etablierte sich der AE1 schnell als Referenz in Tonstudios und audiophilen Musikanlagen weltweit.

Zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum führt die AE1 40th Anniversary Edition dieses Erbe konsequent fort. Ziel war es, den unverwechselbaren Charakter des Originals zu bewahren und ihn gleichzeitig mit modernster Lautsprechertechnik in die Gegenwart zu übertragen. Da sämtliche Originalkomponenten nicht mehr verfügbar waren, wurde der Lautsprecher vollständig neu entwickelt – mit größtem Respekt vor seinem legendären Klang.

Die Grundprinzipien des AE1 blieben dabei unverändert: ein extrem steifes und massives Gehäuse, ein geradwandiger Aluminium-Tieftöner mit leistungsstarkem Magnetsystem sowie ein Metallkalotten-Hochtöner. Gleichzeitig wurden zahlreiche technische Details behutsam modernisiert, um Verzerrungen zu reduzieren, die Belastbarkeit zu erhöhen und den Wirkungsgrad zu verbessern.

Für die Anniversary Edition entstand ein komplett neuer Hochtöner mit 29-mm-Aluminiumkalotte und größerer Schwingspule. Die vergrößerte Membranfläche, eine optimierte Resonanzkammer sowie Ferrofluid-Kühlung sorgen für höhere Dynamik, geringere Verzerrungen und eine außergewöhnlich natürliche Hochtonwiedergabe.

Auch der neu entwickelte 125-mm-Tieftöner orientiert sich konsequent am Original. Seine aufwendig gefertigte Aluminium-Membran entsteht im seltenen Spinning-Verfahren und wird durch eine hart eloxierte Keramikschicht zusätzlich versteift. Das Ergebnis sind hervorragende Impulstreue, ein natürlicher Mitteltonbereich und beeindruckende Dynamik. Eine moderne Motorstruktur mit Aluminium-Kurzschlussring reduziert Verzerrungen deutlich, während die niedrigere Schwingspulenimpedanz den Lautsprecher wesentlich leichter anzusteuern macht.

Die neu entwickelte Frequenzweiche mit hochwertigen Bauteilen und Filtern niedriger Ordnung wurde speziell für anspruchsvolle Heimanlagen abgestimmt. Sie verleiht dem AE1 einen warmen, natürlichen Mittelton, kraftvollen Bass, seidige Höhen und seine charakteristische Dynamik.

Das hochwertige Gehäuse ist wahlweise in mehrfach hochglänzend lackiertem Schwarz oder edlem Nussbaumfurnier erhältlich. Zusätzliche Versteifungen durch das bewährte RSC-Material sowie neu konstruierte Bassreflexöffnungen verbessern Stabilität, reduzieren Strömungsgeräusche und ermöglichen eine noch souveränere Basswiedergabe.

Die AE1 40th Anniversary Edition verbindet die DNA einer Lautsprecherlegende mit modernster Entwicklungsarbeit. Sie bleibt ihrem historischen Vorbild klanglich treu und bietet zugleich ein Leistungsniveau, das heutigen audiophilen Ansprüchen gerecht wird – im Wohnzimmer ebenso wie im Studio.
